I just keep posting these things earlier and earlier. But this week I at least have a good excuse this time, other than the fact I'll probably forget tomorrow; my sister-in-law just had her baby and my sister and I'll be traveling home to California for the weekend. So, sadly, there will be no posts over the weekend, most likely. Maybe I could steal some internet time on my dad's iPhone.. But anyways, my weekend reviews will go up on Monday. How amazing is it that it's already winter vacation? Onto the hopping.

The Book Blogger Hop is hosted by Crazy for Books (click the button above to visit) and this week's question is:
"What do you consider the most important in a story: the plot or the characters?"
My answer: This is a hard question to answer; the part of a book I remember mostly are the characters, but the plot is what draws me in. As to what's more important to the story, I'm not sure. It just depends on which is stronger.

Follow My Book Blog Friday is hosted by Parajunkee's View (click the button above to visit) and the weekly question this week is:
"Carmel is studying web
design... What did you study in college, or are currently studying and did it
lead to your current 9 to 5 or are you doing something totally different?"
My answer: Ach-hem. Well, seeing as I'm a junior, I'm not even in college yet. But my dream major would be something in medicine.

It was a tough one this week! Very hard to choose either.
I'm an old follower :) Stopping by to say hello and happy holidays!
Hopping by! I think the sort of book plays a big role in which I find more important.
Happy weekend :)
Hi. Hopping by. New follower, to boot. ^^
I also think that the plot is important because of the "pulls me in" factor, though I do ultimately think that the plot and characters are really equally important for the story.
Cheers and happy reading!

Hi old follower here, I believe a good mixture but all depends on my mood and book as well. I love a good sarcastic sense of humor but same time I like a plot that has a mixture of angst, and what not.

Don't worry you can be greedy like me. I chose both character and plots, somethings you just can't pick between.

Joining you from over at the Book Blogger Hop, it's nice to have met you, I've enjoyed my visit.
That's an interesting observation about plot vs. characters. I prefer characters over plot. But both are important. Happy Blog Hop.
Thank you for dropping by my blog! I have returned the follow :)
Happy Friday!
Hope you have a great weekend!!

Hi There!
Old follower dropping by to say hi! Congrats on your new niece or nephew! So nice that you are heading to see the new baby! I like your answers. Have a good weekend!
i personallyam more inclined to choose characters :) I'm a new follower from the hop, your blog looks lovely! I hope you can drop by my blog sometime, have a great weekend!
Hi, Caroline! Thanks for visiting my blog on the blog hop! I'm a new follower, but your blog looks great. I think I'll enjoy your posts and reviews.
Since I already answered the Follow my Book Blog Friday question, I'll answer the Book Blogger Hop question: I believe characters and plot are equally important. If the characters aren't developed well or are unlikeable, even an exceptional plot won't make me care whether the characters achieve their happy ending. At the same time, a good plot is what usually spurs the development of the characters and the character growth that makes them appealing. So if the plot is weak, likable characters won't be enough to hold my interest.

Love your blog design, so pretty!
As for me, I vote for plot being more important. Both plot and characters are very important, and ideally, they'd counterbalance each other, but ultimately, I'd rather read a story where something happens!
Back for a visit...love the polka dots.
I love to look at blog designs.
